A real Garden of Eden for nature lovers! Hiking, cycling and horseback-riding trails abound in this holiday haven. Enormous lakes, perfect for swimming or boating, are everywhere you look! The Appalachian mountain chain is a hotspot for hikers and skiers. Victorian-style houses have been converted into quaint inns. Country-style restaurants, sugar shacks, vineyards and cider houses pepper this land blessed by nature, offering tourists pastoral getaways!

The numerous bodies of water in the region definitely add to the holiday feeling that reigns in the Eastern Townships. Rest in the shade of hundred year-old maples. Escape alone or with family to this peaceful retreat and cool off in the lake's clear waters. The shores of Lake Memphremagog are host to historical sites, superb homes and breathtaking landscapes. Between here and the foot of Mount Orford, the City of MAGOG will win over your heart. Here, you will find a wide range of sports activities, events, an unrivaled vacation ambience, a friendly downtown center; in fact, everything to do with culture, the great outdoors and relaxation. Of all the lakes in the Eastern Townships, Lake Massawippi is one of the most beautiful. Almost 12 kilometres in length and 55 kilometres around, it's surrounded by mountains and hills. At its northern tip at the foot of a stunning valley is one of Québec's most beautiful villages, NORTH HATLEY. On the southern tip of Lake Massawippi is AYER'S CLIFF, a village unique for its Y-shape. The village became well-known for its summer fair at the County Fair Grounds, one of the first fairs in the country. These grounds still exist today. SHERBROOKE, an urban stopping place at the heart of a rich mosaic of sites of interest and close to an exceptional natural environment. In summer, the region bustles with numerous festivals, shows and other events. Bistros and café-terraces give visitors the opportunity to mix with local folk. Discover the elegant houses of Sherbrooke's Old North Ward, delightful antique stores or various museums.

Escape to this charming vacation spot!
